If there is one thing I have learned during my current healing season, it is that the battles we face in life are not just physical, but they are spiritual. We may even feel alone and that the evil forces that surround us have overwhelming odds. That is precisely the time we need to fall on our knees and pray to GOD for HIS help. This is probably how JOSHUA, of the Old Testament, must have felt when GOD chose him to let the Israelites into the promised land of Canaan. The first city they encountered was Jericho, the largest city in Canaan, which was well fortified and defended with a strong army. Near the city, Joshua encountered a man with a sword in his hand and when Joshua asked him if he was a friend or an adversary, the man said he was the captain of GOD’s army and to not be afraid. As you read Joshua 5:13-15, you will find that GOD caused the walls of Jericho to fall down and the victory was assured. Do not be afraid today. The captain of GOD’s army is with you.
