We got on the road early this morning driving north to Indiana to visit a theme and water park with three of the grandkids. The good news is there are extra drivers in the car so I could write my daily healing thoughts in the back seat. As I look out the window, I notice the continuous rumble strip grooves that have been cut into the shoulder of the road to remind drivers they are drifting off the interstate. This safety measures was actually invented in 1952, but didn’t become mandatory on interstates under the 1990’s. The goal for my driver is to have no rumbling. You won’t find rumbling in the Bible, but you will find a lot written about a word that rhymes with it…grumbling, which is the same as complaining. Paul writes in Philippians 2:14-15 “Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Today, maybe it’s to time to get in right standing with GOD and eliminate any grumbling.
